$10 million in taxpayer funds spent last year
A White Coat Waster Project study revealed that $10 million in taxpayer funds were spent last year to create transgender animals.
Rep. Nancy Mace of R-SC listed abuse of taxpayers’ funds to provide “gender-affirm care” to animals and opened the speech at a subcommittee hearing Thursday. The hearing was titled “Transex Laboratory Rats and Poisoned Puppies: Oversight of Taxpayer-Funded Animal Malpractice,” and one of them was witnesses from the White Coat Waste Project.
“Last year, the White Jacket Waste Project exposed more than $10 million in taxpayer funds, which were spent on creating transgender mice, rats and monkeys,” Metz said. “These DEIs granted the pain and fatality of funding degenerative experiments that forced laboratory animals to undergo invasive surgery and hormone therapy at universities across the country.”
Mace targets the Biden-Harris administration’s radical policy agenda to allow taxpayer funds to “make mutations to animal genitals through surgery.”

“The Biden-Harris administration spent $2.5 million to study the fertility of transgender mice,” said Mays. “The Biden-Harris administration is very eager to spread their radical in all aspects of American society. Gender ideology, so much so that they are mutating animal genitals through surgery. Taxpayers' money goes.”
Mace succumbed to ranking member Rep. Shontel Brown, who said wasting government spending on animal abuse was a “nonpartisan issue.”
“The U.S. government spends more than $20 billion per year on experiments on animals,” Mess said. “We spent more than a million dollars to find out if female rats treated with testosterone are more likely to overdose rape drugs. This It's what your taxpayer spends.”

“Today, most of the twenty-seven NIH agencies and centers perform or support animal testing – the Food and Drug Administration, the USDA, the Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense and countless agencies,” Mays said. “I hope today’s conversation will similarly prevent taxpayers from unnecessarily funding animal experiments.”
